Crude Oil

A naturally occurring, unrefined petroleum product and the most important raw material of the industrialized nations composed of hydrocarbon deposits. Crude oil can be refined to produce usable products such as gasoline, diesel and various forms of petrochemicals. It is the term for “unprocessed oil, the stuff that comes out of the ground. Crude oils are named according to their contents and origins, and classifies according to their per unit weight (specific gravity).
